With the European Fashion Weeks coming to an end, the Fashion in the City team analyzes, the Paris Fashion Week. Paris is always the truest indicator of what kinds of styles we will see in the upcoming season, as it showcases the largest names in the industry.
These are the trends we are sure to see in Spring and Summer 2019:
MUTED COLORS:
In comparison to New York, London and Milan fashion weeks, Paris Fashion Week designers showed more muted colors than bright tones. Opting for pastels, and black and white fabrics. The pieces on the runway seemed softer and more feminine, while the edge came from details like makeup and accessories.

METALLICS:
Shiny metallic materials were shown on the runway in whole garment fashions or as an accessory. Silver and chrome were the colors that dominated the runway shows, exhibiting a more romantic and classic design, with a a futuristic vision.

ACCESSORIES:
Regardless, of how elaborate the garments were on the runway, no look was complete without an accessory. Earrings, bracelets, headpieces, bags, belts? and the list goes on, often blurring the lines between art and fashion seamlessly.

TAILORING:
A highlight in every Fashion Week this season: tailoring is definitely sweeping every closet next Spring and Summer. Though usually an odd choice for the warmer seasons, not a single show at Paris Fashion Week failed to present some kind of garment that reveals structure and a tailored silhouette.
